Mammograms Save Lives
Mammograms are the single most successful tool used to detect breast cancer. Last year in the United States, more than 40,000 women died from breast cancer, 510 in Oklahoma alone. Mammography detects about 80 to 90 percent of breast cancers in women showing no symptoms. Getting one could literally save your life.
Norman Regional’s Dr. Denise Rable will talk about the importance of having routine mammograms at 9 a.m. Thurs. May 21 at Norman Regional Hospital’s Education Center, 901 N. Porter Ave. She will also discuss the difference between digital and film images and which method is most appropriate for you.
Educational booths will be set up for more information on the importance of mammograms. Experts from Norman Regional Hospital’s Breast Care Center will also be on hand to answer any questions.
Seating is limited, RSVP today at (405) 440-8802.
